Real Madrid have extended the contract with Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior until the end of June 2027. The previous agreement was valid until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Vinicius moved to Real Madrid in July 2018 and played 235 matches for the team in all competitions, scoring 62 goals and making 67 assists. The Brazilian has won the UEFA Champions League, two Spanish Championships, two Club World Cups and one UEFA Super Cup with the Madrid club.
Transfermarkt website estimates the market value of the player at €150 million.
Earlier Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham called Vinicius the best player in the world.
At the Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris, France, Vinicius received the Socrates Award for his humanitarian work. The 23-year-old Brazilian created the Instituto Vini Jr educational app for disadvantaged students and annually invests substantial sums of money for its development.
