Real Madrid's Brazilian defender Eder Militao has suffered an injury that may cause him to miss at least six months, the press service of the Spanish club reported.
According to the press service, Militao was diagnosed with a tear of anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee. It is also reported that in the near future the footballer will undergo surgery. Earlier, Real Madrid's main goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois suffered a similar injury.
Militao has been playing for the Madrid club since July 2019. The agreement of the player with the team is valid until June 30, 2025.
The defender has played 143 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 11 goals and giving five assists. Transfermarkt website estimates the transfer value of the 25-year-old Brazilian at €70 million.
