Metaratings.ru has learned that Dutch PSV defender Olivier Boscagli is on Zenit's shortlist if the club fails to agree on a contract extension with Yaroslav Rakitskyi.
The St Petersburg club is set to hold talks with the Ukrainian defender in January. If unsuccessful, the management of Zenit are ready to approach PSV with a proposal to buy the Frenchman.
"Zenit have long followed Boscagli, who is functionally similar to Rakitskyi.
Metaratings.ru previously reported that Rakitskyi is willing to take a pay cut to sign a new contract.
Boscagli moved to PSV from Nice in July 2019. He played 17 games and scored three goals in the Dutch championship for the 2021/22 season. Transfermarkt valued the player at €7 million.
