In winter 2025, the management of the French football club PSG held talks with representatives from the National Basketball Association (NBA), a fact that has been officially confirmed.
"We have expressed interest,” a PSG representative told Eurohoops.
Reports indicate that the Qatari side proposed several collaboration options, including the purchase of an existing basketball team in Paris or the establishment of a completely new team, independent of PSG, with the involvement of other interested parties.
It is expected that important agreements regarding the NBA's plan to expand its influence in Europe will be reached soon. A press conference featuring league commissioner Adam Silver is scheduled to take place shortly.
