The Spanish head coach of PSG, Luis Enrique, confirmed the future departure of the team's forward Kylian Mbappe after Paris Saint-Germain's victory over Real Sociedad (2-1) in the UEFA Champions League.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano quotes Enrique as saying on his social media:
Apparently, Kylian's immediate future will not be here at Paris Saint-Germain and so we have to test tactics.
It is important to note that Mbappe's contract with the Parisian club ends this summer. According to reports, the player does not plan to renew it and intends to leave for Real Madrid as a free agent.
Mbappe has been playing for the club in the capital of France since 2018. He has played 294 matches for PSG, scoring 246 goals and providing 105 assists. In total, he has helped the club win 13 trophies.
Enrique had previously stated that he no longer considers Mbappe an essential player in the starting lineup of PSG.
AS reports that PSG's management is hoping to receive up to 150 million euros from Mbappe's move to Real Madrid.
