PSG head coach Luis Enrique addressed rumors of a conflict with the French forward Ousmane Dembélé, who did not play in the second round of the Champions League group stage.
The 27-year-old forward was left out of the squad for the away game against Arsenal in London, which ended in a 2-0 victory for Mikel Arteta's team. On September 30, Enrique told RMC Sport that there had been no quarrel between him and Dembélé.
Enrique told ESPN:
When a player doesn't meet their obligations, this is the sort of thing that can happen. Everything is now in order. I'm tough when I have to be tough and more permissive when it is needed. That is one of my big skills as a coach and as a person... Every player has a series of obligations to meet, so every player who does that is available.
In the 2024/2025 season, Dembélé has played in six Ligue 1 matches (scoring four goals and providing four assists) and one Champions League match. Dembélé's contract with PSG runs until the end of June 2028, and his market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €60 million.
