PSG Faces Risk of Champions League Exclusion Due to Debt to Mbappe

French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) may be excluded from the 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League due to a payment dispute with former player Kylian Mbappe.

According to Sport Bible, citing Le Monde, Mbappe has appealed to the legal committee of the league and UEFA through the French Football Federation, demanding payment of €55 million as compensation for an old contract.

The regulations state that any club participating in UEFA competitions must provide proof of no outstanding salary debts to its staff, payable no later than February 28 preceding the licensing season.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham shared his thoughts on playing against Kylian Mbappe after the UEFA Super Cup match against Atalanta, which ended in a 2-0 victory.
