According to Sport Bible, citing Le Monde, Mbappe has appealed to the legal committee of the league and UEFA through the French Football Federation, demanding payment of €55 million as compensation for an old contract.
The regulations state that any club participating in UEFA competitions must provide proof of no outstanding salary debts to its staff, payable no later than February 28 preceding the licensing season.
