Pep Guardiola, head coach of the English football club Manchester City, has commented on the increasing number of games in the current football calendar.
City Xtra quotes Guardiola as saying:
It made me reflect maybe you need a squad of 25, 30 players. It’d be more difficult financially for the club, but today we’re going to play the Club World Cup in summer for three weeks, start again the Premier League, maybe we have to have more depth.
After 15 matches in the English Championship, Manchester City, under Guardiola's management, are currently sitting in fourth place with 27 points.
It's worth noting that in the last ten games, Guardiola's team has only secured one win, suffered seven losses, and drawn twice.
Previously, Guardiola discussed health issues arising from the team's poor performances.
