The 2018 world champion of the French national team, midfielder of Serie A club Juventus Paul Pogba, according to the Tuttosport website, is disqualified for doping for four years.
The 30-year-old "Paul the Octopus" failed two tests at once in October 2023. The midfielder's doping samples showed too high levels of testosterone. The anti-doping prosecutor's office of Italy demanded exactly four years of ban for the footballer. Note that Pogba's lawyers demanded a reduction in the period of ineligibility from four to two years, but to no avail.
December 9, 2023 Juventus, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, is close to breaking the current contract with Pogba. The management of the "Old Lady" will initiate the termination of the contract if the midfielder is disqualified for a long period of time.
Pogba has been playing for the Turin club since August 2022, having moved from Manchester United. The Frenchman's contract with the Bianconeri runs until the end of June 2026. Transfermarkt estimates the market value of Pogba at €20 million.
