Former AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini has shared his opinion on who is the best footballer of our time - Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
Barca Universal quotes Maldini as saying:
I know both Messi and Ronaldo very well. They've dominated the Ballon d'Or for the past decade. While Ronaldo is undoubtedly a top player and a strong individual, I believe Messi might just edge him out. Personally, I prefer Messi.
Messi is the world champion in 2022 and eight-time winner of the prestigious Ballon d'Or award. Ronaldo has won Euro 2016 and five Ballon d'Or awards. However, the Portuguese has more Champions League victories - five against four for the Argentine.
