According to O Globo, on the night of November 7, criminals tried to kidnap the girlfriend and newborn daughter of Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal striker Neymar. The incident took place in the Brazilian city of Cotia.
The source reports that around three in the morning local time the robbers broke into the house of the mother of Neymar's girlfriend and stole valuable items, designer handbags and watches totaling about $120,000.
One of the intruders' aims was to kidnap Neymar's girlfriend Bruna Biancardi and their newborn daughter. Happily, they were not at home.
Neymar plays in the Saudi Arabian championship for Al Hilal. The 31-year-old forward has five matches in all tournaments for the team and one goal scored in the current season.
On October 8, in a game against Uruguay in the qualifying for the World Cup-2026 (0:2) Neymar suffered an ACL injury and tore his knee meniscus. The forward's recovery time is expected to be up to 10 months.
