Neymar was substituted in the 86th minute of the game because of a hamstring injury. The match ended with Al-Hilal defeating Esteghlal 3-0.
It is worth noting that Neymar had previously missed over a year due to a serious injury. After suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament during a World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay (0-2), the player had to undergo an extensive rehabilitation process.
Since joining Al-Hilal, Neymar has played just seven matches over the past year and a half, scoring one goal and providing three assists. The contract of the 32-year-old forward with the Saudi team is valid until the end of June 2025, and his market value, according to Transfermarkt, is estimated at 30 million euros.
