Neymar Plans to Return to Europe After Santos

32-year-old Brazilian winger Neymar is planning to make a return to European football after the current season. This information was reported by Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.

On January 28, Al-Hilal announced the termination of his contract with the Brazilian player. Neymar is close to rejoining Santos, where he began his professional career.

He is expected to leave Saudi Arabia in January to travel to Brazil for a medical examination for Santos.

The two parties plan to sign a six-month contract without an option for extension. After this period, Neymar intends to return to Europe.

Neymar has been with the Saudi club since 2023, making seven appearances, scoring one goal, and providing three assists. He played for Santos from 2009 to 2013, featuring in 225 matches, scoring 136 goals, and assisting 64 times. Neymar’s transfer value is estimated at 15 million euros by Transfermarkt.

Earlier, Globo Esporte reported that the Saudi club would compensate Neymar for the contract termination.
