32-year-old Brazilian forward Neymar couldn't hold back tears during his official presentation as a player for Santos, the club where he started his career.
The event took place at a packed stadium, with fans enthusiastically welcoming the footballer and chanting his name.
Neymar played for the Santos first team from 2009 to 2013, participating in 225 matches across all competitions, scoring 136 goals, and providing 64 assists. His current contract with the Brazilian club runs until the summer of 2025. Transfermarkt estimates the Brazilian winger's transfer fee at 15 million euros.
Additionally, it was revealed that Neymar would wear number 10, previously worn by Pelé at Santos. Florian Plettenberg reported that Neymar plans to return to play in Europe after his time at Santos.
