Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe said that midfielder Sandro Tonali will be able to take part in the next round of the EPL, as the club has not received papers on the player's disqualification.
Tuttosport quotes Eddie Howe as saying:
We haven’t had official confirmation as a football club yet. There is a high chance that he could be available for us at Wolves. We are preparing as if he is fit and ready to play. He will travel with us for the match. I still think there’s a few things that have to happen before the ban is imposed.
On October 26, it became known that Tonali received a ten-month disqualification for betting on football. The Italian will miss Euro 2024 and the rest of the season because of this.
Earlier it was reported that Tonali made bets on matches involving Milan during his performance for the club. He faced a one-year disqualification.
