New Zealand footballers refused to come out for the second half of the match against Qatar's national team because of racist insults, the national team's press office said.

Michael Boxall was subjected to racial abuse in the first half by a Qatar player.
It is also noted that no official action was taken, so the team refused to play the second half.
The teams met on June 19 in Ritzing. The first half of the match ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of the New Zealand team. It is reported that the victim of racial insults was defender Michael Boxall.
The Qatar Soccer Association has not yet responded to the episode. According to the Newshub edition, Qatari midfielder Yusuf Abdurisag was the one who made the racial insult.
