The new owner of Manchester United Jim Ratcliffe has named Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo as the best footballer in the history of the Red Devils.
Ronaldo played for MU from 2003 to 2009 and also from 2021 to 2022. During his time at the club, Ronaldo won three Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Ratcliffe said in a podcast hosted by cyclist Geraint Thomas:
Best player in Man Utd history? Probably Ronaldo, I guess. I remember Bobby Charlton a bit, and he was obviously the legend of Manchester United. But I once asked Alex Ferguson who the best player he had ever coached was, and he said Ronaldo.
Earlier, Arsen Zakharyan confessed that he dreams of playing with the Portuguese national team because of Ronaldo. William Gallas criticized Chelsea for rejecting Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer in 2022.
