Ruud van Nistelrooy, the former Dutch national team forward and coach, will not be joining the coaching staff of Manchester United's new head coach, Ruben Amorim, according to The Athletic.
On October 28, the 47-year-old van Nistelrooy stepped in as the interim coach for the Red Devils following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag. Under van Nistelrooy's leadership, Manchester United played four matches in the Premier League, EFL Cup, and UEFA Europa League, with three wins and one draw.
Despite expressing his desire to assist the 39-year-old Amorim at Manchester United during a November 4 interview, it appears van Nistelrooy has not received an invitation to join the coaching team from the Portuguese manager.
After 11 matches in the 2024/2025 Premier League season, Manchester United sit in 13th place on the league table with 15 points.
