According to AS, Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, where Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo plays, attempted to sign two star goalkeepers during the winter transfer window.
The club is reportedly willing to pay €30 million annually to these "world-class" goalkeepers. The management of the Riyadh-based team reached out to Manuel Neuer and David de Gea, but both declined the offer.
Notably, 37-year-old Neuer has been with Bayern Munich since June 2011 and serves as the captain of the Munich club. 33-year-old de Gea has been a free agent since leaving Manchester United.
On February 21, a goal from the renowned Portuguese forward helped Al-Nassr defeat Al-Fayha in the AFC Champions League Round of 16 second leg (2-0, first leg 1-0) and advance to the next stage of the tournament.
