The management of Bayern Munich has identified their top choice to replace Thomas Tuchel as head coach, according to Bild.
Reportedly, the number one candidate on the shortlist of the club's sporting director Max Eberl is Julian Nagelsmann, currently in charge of the German national team.
Nagelsmann coached Bayern Munich from July 2021 to March 2023 before relinquishing the position to Tuchel. In the 2021/22 season, the German specialist led Munich to a Bundesliga championship.
In February, it was revealed that Tuchel would be leaving Bayern Munich after the 2023/24 season. One version suggests that the coach failed to establish contact with the players. Previous reports had indicated that former Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane could replace Tuchel at the Munich club.
