Forward of the German national team Thomas Muller has announced his retirement from the national team.
Muller said on his YouTube channel:
When I was able to play my first international match in the German national team 14 years ago, I could not have dreamed of this. I would like to say thank you to all the fans and teammates of the national team. Thank you for your support over the years. Goodbye.
The player has represented Germany since 2010, winning the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. Muller also secured two bronze medals in the European Championships of 2012 and 2016 with the team.
Earlier, Bild reported on Muller's decision to retire from the national team.
