In a recent statement to Fotospor, Jose Mourinho, the head coach of Fenerbahçe, explained why it is unlikely that Cristiano Ronaldo will transfer to the Istanbul club.
Jose Mourinho
He has the money he earns in Saudi Arabia and a goal of 1,000 goals. What could motivate him to come to Turkey, other than the beauty of Istanbul?
He also mentioned that he already has three excellent center-backs, so he doesn’t need another forward, and expressed satisfaction with his current strikers. Mourinho stated his dislike for the January transfer window, noting that a newcomer needs time to adapt to the team. He added that he never completely rules out transfers but he wouldn’t insist on them and is focused on victories.
Ronaldo has been playing for Saudi club Al-Nassr since January 2023. He has played 83 games for the club, scoring 74 goals and providing 18 assists.
