
According to BBC reports, Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah has turned down a lucrative offer to join a club from Saudi Arabia.
Sources indicate that the player received a contract offer worth over £500 million. Nevertheless, Salah chose to remain with Liverpool, signing a new contract that will see him earn £20 million a year, including bonuses. The total value of the two-year agreement amounts to £40 million.
This season, Salah has participated in 45 matches for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring 32 goals and providing 22 assists. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027. As per Transfermarkt, the market value of the 32-year-old player is estimated at €55 million.
