Mohamed Salah expressed uncertainty regarding his future with Liverpool following the team's victory against Manchester United. He stated that no contract negotiations have occurred despite his current deal expiring soon, which raised speculation that this season may be his last with the club.
Salah told Sky Sports:
I was coming to the game and I said, "look, it could be the last time (at Old Trafford)”. Nobody from the club has talked to me yet about contracts. It's not up to me, it's up to the club but we will see. As you know, it's my last year in the club. I just want to enjoy it. I don't want to think about it (the contract). I feel I'm free to play football and we'll see what's going to happen next year.
Salah joined Liverpool from Roma for £34 million in 2017, scoring 214 goals in 352 appearances. He has helped the club secure a Champions League title, a Premier League title, and more accolades. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk also face contract uncertainties, with their deals up next summer.
