Mohamed Salah, the forward for the English Premier League club Liverpool and the Egyptian national football team, has reportedly made the decision to leave the Reds. This was announced by the Federation of Sports Media in Saudi Arabia.
According to available information, the 32-year-old striker has reached an agreement to join one of the clubs in the Saudi Pro League as a free agent. However, Salah himself is uncertain about which team he will join, as the Saudi Public Investment Fund owns four clubs: Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, and Al-Ahli.
On December 26, 2024, insider Nicolo Schira reported that, contrary to this, Salah was close to extending his contract with Liverpool until the end of June 2027. Earlier, on December 2, journalist Miguel Rico noted that the player would not be transferring to Barcelona, as the Catalans are focusing on younger players for their squad.
During his time at Liverpool, Salah won the Premier League title for the 2019/2020 season, the UEFA Champions League (2018/2019), and the UEFA Super Cup in 2019. In the 2024/2025 season, the Egyptian played 19 matches in the Premier League, scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists, along with two goals and four assists in six Champions League matches. Salah's market value is estimated at 55 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
