Croatian midfielder of Real Madrid Luka Modric expressed his desire to stay in the team for one more season. This was reported by the publication AS.
In the current season Modric played 38 matches, scored two goals and made six goal assists.
Modric moved to Real Madrid from Tottenham in August 2012 for €35 million. His contract with the club runs until the summer of 2024. According to Transfermarkt, the value of the 38-year-old player is €8 million.
As part of los Blancos, Modric twice won the Spanish Cup and five times the Spanish Super Cup. On the international stage, he won the Champions League five times, as well as four times UEFA Super Cup and four club world championships.
Earlier it was reported that the Croatian will leave the team at the end of the season-2023/24. There was also information that he may continue his career at Dinamo Zagreb.
