After Real Madrid center-back Nacho Fernandez leaves the club, Croatian midfielder Luka Modric will become the new captain of the team.
According to journalist Miguel Angel Diaz, defender Dani Carvajal will become the vice-captain of los Blancos. The third option is defender Lucas Vazquez.
Earlier it became known that 34-year-old Nacho Fernandez will leave Real Madrid this summer. Clubs from MLS, as well as Saudi Arabia are interested in Nacho's services.
It was also reported earlier that Modric will extend his contract with Real Madrid, ending on 30 June, for another year.
