Croatian national team midfielder Luka Modric disagreed with the opinion of France national team striker Kylian Mbappe that the European Championship is more challenging than the FIFA World Cup.
Modric pointed out that he doesn't like to compare, as strong teams compete in the Euros, but there are also excellent teams in the World Cup.
Sportskeeda quotes the Croatian midfielder as saying:

I don’t like to compare, don't know... for me, perhaps the World Cup is tougher because there are more teams from around the world. I understand what Mbappe means, but that's my opinion.
On Friday, June 14, the final tournament of the 2024 European Championship started in Germany. In the opening match, the tournament hosts secured a resounding victory over the Scottish national team with a score of 5-1.
Earlier, Mbappe expressed his desire to become the champion of the continental championship.
