Croatia and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric, 38, has responded to a question about the end of his career.
Modric told Madrid Xtra:
I'd like to keep playing forever but there will probably be a time I'll have to hang up my boots. I'll keep playing on, I don't know for how much longer.
Modric has been playing for Real Madrid since the summer of 2012. In the current season, the 38-year-old Croatian took part in 45 matches in various tournaments, scoring two goals and making eight assists. According to the Transfermarkt website, the market value of the player is €6 euros.
Earlier it was reported that Modric extended his contract with Real Madrid, expiring June 30, for another year.
According to journalist Miguel Angel Diaz, after Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez leaves the club, the Croatian midfielder will become the new captain of the team.
