I couldn't sleep for a long time after the match, I was nervous. For the second match in a row we conceded at the end of the game. I feel terrible right now. No one liked the game in Croatia: there was an advantage in possession of the ball, but without dangerous shots. After the draw with Italy people wrote that Modric should finish his career in the national team and Dalic should resign, but Modric means a lot for our team, he cried after the game.
"Everyone thinks that not getting out of the group is a failure, but I don't think so, because the group is very hard and we conceded at the very end of the matches. It happens. I do not understand what happened to the team yesterday. Maybe this squad has outlived itself. Just everyone is already used to good results from the team. I'm looking forward to a renewed lineup at the World Championship. We have good young players, we have a lot of talented guys. I am looking forward to seeing these talents in the national team," said Miskic.
In the group stage of Euro 2024, the Croatian national team lost to Spain (0:3), and also drew with Albania (2:2) and Italy (1:1). In the match with Albania, the Croats conceded in the fifth minute of added time in the second half, and in the eighth minute in the game against Italy.
