French PSG striker Lionel Messi asked Barcelona to make his transfer to the Catalan club before the end of the season, according to journalist Gerard Romero.
According to the source, the Argentinian will remain at PSG if the Spanish club does not take decisive action regarding his transition. The forward wants to decide on his future before the end of the season.
Messi has been at PSG since August 2021. The player's contract with the team runs until June 30, 2023. During his time with Parisienne, the forward played 70 matches, scored 31 goals and gave 34 assists.
The forward played 778 games for Barcelona where he scored 672 goals and gave 303 assists. Transfermarkt estimates the transfer value of the player at 45 million euros.
