Goal portal has published the updated rating of contenders for the Ballon d'Or award in 2023. PSG and Argentina forward Lionel Messi still tops the list.
The top six of the ranking remain unchanged: following Messi are Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) and Victor Osimhen (Napoli).
Napoli winger Khvija Kvaratskhelia was seventh, but he lost to Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who was eighth. They swapped places. In addition, Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona rose from 10th to ninth place and Marcus Rashford of Manchester United dropped from ninth to 10th.
Real Madrid's Brazilian forward Rodrigo claims 11th place in the rankings.
Messi, a seven-time Ballon d'Or winner, has made 37 appearances for PSG in all competitions this season, notching 20 goals and 19 assists. Messi also won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with Argentina.
