Goal has presented an updated list of nominees for the Ballon d'Or, which is awarded annually by France Football to the best player of the year.
The leader of the list is a 35-year-old forward of PSG Lionel Messi, who became the world champion with the national team of Argentina on December 18, having beaten the French team in the final of the tournament (3-3, 4-2 on penalties).
French and PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, 23, was ranked second and Manchester City Norwegian forward Erling Haaland, 21, was ranked third.
The current Ballon d'Or winner is French forward Karim Benzema. Messi can win the prize of France Football for the eighth time.
