The source states that Messi is currently unwilling to deal with Barcelona due to strained relations with the club's management. It is reported that the Argentine is not even considering participating in a possible farewell match for the Catalan team while Joan Laporta remains in charge.
Lionel Messi is a product of Barcelona's youth academy. He played for the senior team from 2005 to 202, participating in 778 games for the club, scoring 672 goals and providing 303 assists. During his time with the Blaugrana, Messi won ten La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey trophies, eight Spanish Super Cups, four UEFA Champions League titles, three UEFA Super Cups, and three Club World Cups.
Currently, Messi is with Inter Miami since 2023, where he has scored 42 goals and provided 21 assists in 51 matches across all competitions.
The star Argentine's contract with Inter Miami runs until the end of December 2025, and according to Transfermarkt, the 37-year-old forward's market value is 20 million euros.
Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba previously advised Messi to consider retirement.
