Messi’s family also wishes to return to the city, which the footballer continues to regard as his home. Notably, Messi spent over 20 years in Barcelona's system, playing 778 matches, scoring 672 goals, and providing 303 assists.
Messi has been with Inter Miami since the summer of 2023. He has played in 39 matches for the team, scoring 34 goals and making 18 assists.
