Inter Miami and Argentina striker Lionel Messi has surpassed Al-Nassr and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo by 10 places in the top 100 best athletes of the 21st century.
Messi took third place in the ranking according to ESPN. Swimmer Michael Phelps was ranked first, while tennis player Serena Williams took second place. Cristiano Ronaldo was ranked 13th.
Messi is an Olympic champion, world champion, two-time Copa America winner and winner of the Finalissima. The footballer has been playing for the main national team of Argentina since 2005.
