Argentinian forward Lionel Messi, currently playing for Inter Miami, has been caught up in a scandal for his disrespectful comments towards the referee during a World Cup 2026 qualifying match against Paraguay.
"You are a sh*t, coward, I don’t like you!" Messi reportedly said, according to RMC Sport.
In yesterday's match held at the Defensores del Chaco Stadium in Asunción, Paraguay defeated Argentina with a score of 2-1.
Argentina's next match is set to be against Peru, while Paraguay will face Bolivia.
