Forward for Inter Miami and the Argentine national team, Lionel Messi, has donated his record eighth Ballon d'Or to the Barcelona museum, as reported by Footmercato.
The award will be displayed alongside his other Ballon d'Or trophies received in previous years. Despite no longer playing for Barcelona, Messi has chosen to display all his France Football awards together.
Messi, who won the Ballon d'Or in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2019, and 2021, dedicated his eighth award to his legendary compatriot Diego Maradona, who passed away in 2020.
