The coaching staff of the Argentina national team, led by Lionel Scaloni, has released the list of 33 players called up for the September 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Ecuador and Bolivia.
Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi, 36, and Benfica forward Angel Di Maria, 35, are featured in the lineup of the reigning world champions. The list of the called-up players also includes Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, Nottingham Forest defender Gonzalo Montiel, Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes, Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister and Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández, as well as forwards Lautaro Martinez of Inter, Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United and Julian Alvarez of Manchester City.
Lionel Scaloni's team will play Ecuador on September 8. The reigning world champions will face Bolivia in a qualifying match on September 12.
