The 2022 FIFA World Cup champion with the Argentine national team, forward of MLS club Inter Miami Lionel Messi commented on Real Madrid's victory in the Champions League final over Borussia Dortmund.
Messi told ESPN AR:
Champions League final? Yeah, we were supporting Dortmund obviously. I'm a Barcelona fan, and if theoretically Barcelona was in the final, Real Madrid fans would support the opponent too. That's how it is in football.
The match took place on June 1 in London at Wembley Stadium and ended with a 2-0 score in favor of Real Madrid. This Champions League trophy marks the 15th in the club's history.
Earlier, Messi confirmed that he will end his career at Inter Miami.
