Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has broken the scoring record for French footballers after netting a goal in the 27th round of La Liga against Rayo Vallecano.
Mbappe's goal contributed to the club's 2-1 home victory. This marked his 29th goal in his first season with Real Madrid.
According to Stats Foot, Mbappe has become the first French player in history to score 29 or more goals in his debut season for a club in one of the top four leagues.
