French striker of PSG Kylian Mbappe shared his opinion on the results of the 2023/24 season. He noted that one should always think ahead and strive for new achievements in the world of football.
Mbappe acknowledged that he always expects more from himself, but if he had been told a year ago how he would perform this season, he would have been happy with this result.
Mbappe is quoted by RMC Sport as saying:
I'm very happy with how it turned out. There are a lot of people who think it could have been better, but after what was going on I thought I was going to see the glass half empty rather than half full. I'm glad that's not the case.
PSG became the French champions this season, but lost to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League semi-finals. Mbappe has scored 44 goals and made ten assists in 47 games in all competitions. Players and coaches recognized the forward as the best player in Ligue 1.
Earlier, he announced his departure from the team at the end of the season.
