Mason Greenwood is reportedly on the verge of switching his international allegiance from England to Jamaica. This move will enable him to make his debut as a Jamaican player under the leadership of former Manchester United coach Steve McClaren.
It has been reported that Jamaica's Football Federation has requested to transfer Greenwood's registration from the Football Association so that he can join the Reggae Boyz team. The request has been accepted by the English governing body, and the process is currently underway.
The former Manchester United forward, who has only one cap for England, made his debut for the Three Lions during the 2020–21 UEFA Nations League against Iceland. Two days after his debut, he was sent home for breaking COVID quarantine restrictions by inviting women into the team hotel.
