Portugal's head coach Roberto Martinez responded to criticism of his team before the quarterfinal match of the European Championship-2024 with France.
The official website of UEFA quotes Martinez as saying:
Criticism shows how passionate people are about the national team and I accept that. I believe we have very important players and a very competitive dressing room.
The coach also added that his task is to ensure that the Portuguese players show the best result, and he promised the fans to work towards this.
Recall that in the Round of 16 of Euro 2024, the Portuguese national team defeated the Slovenian team (0:0, 3:0 - on penalties). France with a minimum score won against Belgium (1:0).
The quarterfinal match between the teams will be held today, July 5, in Hamburg at the Volksparkstadion stadium, the start of the game is at 22:00 GMT+3.
