Following a 0-3 defeat to Auxerre in the 23rd round of the French League, Pablo Longoria, the president of Marseille, has received a 15-match suspension for criticizing the officiating.
The Spanish official's outrage was caused by the red card given to Derek Cornelius. Longoria accused referee Jeremy Stinat of corruption, using foul language. As a result, he will be unable to attend the bench for all remaining matches in the current Ligue 1 season as well as several matches next season.
Currently, Marseille are in second place in the French league standings, boasting 46 points and trailing leaders PSG by 13 points.
In their next match on March 2, Marseille will face Nantes.
