The Spanish publication Marca has named Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior as a potential Ballon d'Or winner for the 2023/24 season.
Last season, Vinicius played a crucial role in helping Real Madrid win the Champions League, the Super Cup, and La Liga. He has been with the Madrid club since July 2018, and his contract runs until the end of June 2027. Transfermarkt values the player at €180 million.
According to the report, the winger is expected to receive the esteemed award on October 28 for his outstanding performances.
Previously, Goal.com also identified Vinicius as a frontrunner for the Ballon d'Or. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed his hope that his midfielder Rodri will win the prestigious award.
