Manchester United's management has expressed dissatisfaction with negative media coverage about the club and its new owners that has been published in recent weeks.
In response, CEO Omar Berrada warned club employees that leaking information could lead to dismissals. According to sources at The Telegraph, Berrada sent out an email to staff stating that any leaks regarding club activities would be considered a violation of confidentiality agreements.
The message read:
Anyone disclosing information outside of the club is breaching their obligations of confidentiality, and we are very clear that this will be considered gross misconduct. To protect the club and its colleagues, additional measures are being put in place to prevent future breaches of confidentiality and also identify any persons responsible.
Currently, the Red Devils sit in 15th place in the Premier League standings, having accumulated 29 points from 25 matches.
