According to The Athletic, more than 4 million people watched the match live, surpassing the previous record set in February 2023 when Manchester City defeated Arsenal 3-1 in the English Premier League; that game attracted over 3 million viewers.

The return match between these teams will take place on Wednesday, February 19, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, with kickoff scheduled for 23:00 GMT+3.
