Manchester City Sign 18-Year-Old Defender from MLS

The press service of American club New York City FC announced that English club Manchester City has signed 18-year-old defender Christian McFarlane.

It has also been reported that New York City FC will receive a percentage in case of McFarlane's resale to another club.

This season, McFarlane has played 13 matches for New York City FC without recording any goal contributions. He has also participated in three matches for the England U18 national team. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at two million euros.

Currently, Manchester City is in fourth place in the Premier League table, with 41 points after 23 games in the English league.

Earlier, Manchester City announced the signing of 20-year-old central defender Abdukodir Khusanov from Uzbekistan's national team.

Additionally, the English club has extended the contract of Norwegian forward Erling Haaland until 2034.
