Manchester City Plan Replacement for Erling Haaland

Manchester City management has identified a potential replacement for Norwegian striker Erling Haaland in the event he leaves the club during the summer transfer window.

According to Football 365, City is considering a move for Sporting Lisbon's forward, Viktor Gyökeres, should Haaland leave.

This season, the 26-year-old Gyökeres has played 11 matches for Sporting in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing three assists. His contract with the Portuguese club runs until the summer of 2028. Transfermarkt currently values the player at €70 million.

Haaland, on the other hand, is valued at €200 million, making him the most expensive player in the world. Additionally, FourFourTwo has recognized the Norwegian as the best forward in the world.
